On 25 August 2021, EVERGLOW present their soft side in a new, special single, ‘Promise’.
The single is for UNICEF’s Promise Campaign. Yoo Gayoung, 72, and Lee Seuran wrote the song and composed by Olof Lindskog, Gavin Jones, Hayley Aitken, Melanie Fontana, and 72.
A ‘Promise’ for all children
The song speaks up about the hopes of children all over the world. With wishful words, they assure everyone that tomorrow will be better and to always live for the future. Their angelic voices harmonize well with the synth, dance beat. They sing:
“The crown on the headeverglow – promise
This world we promised
It’s all yours, never forget
Because we’ll keep this promise again“
The girls fit the soft concept and considering a majority of their comebacks have been girl crush, such as ‘Bon Bon Chocolat’ and ‘Dun Dun’, they have shown immense talent in all aspects – rap, vocals, and dance. Seeing them explore other concepts could improve their versatility more in the future.
The choreography included the sign language for “promise” in their movements.
They perform in an open green landscape and we see a child walking through the woods. She ultimately finds EVERGLOW and they are seen dancing playfully together. Overall, it’s something new from the group and it’s for a great cause.
