South Korean K-pop boy band BTS on 27 August 2021 released a remix of its recent hit song “Butter” featuring U.S rapper Megan Thee Stallion to give a further boost to its record-breaking track.
The latest release combines Megan’s rapping style with the cool summer charm of the original version that was released in May.
Megan added a new verse to the remix that says “I remember writing flows in my room in college. Now I need global entry to the shows I’m rocking.” While she raps the same with fellow BTS rappers Suga, RM, and J-Hope.
BTS had also previously released several other remixes of “Butter,” including a “Sweeter” and “Cooler” version of the song.
“Butter” has been atop Billboard’s main singles chart for a total of nine weeks, becoming the longest-running No. 1 song so far. This week the group placed eighth on the chart.
About Megan Thee Stallion
Currently, she is one of the rising pop music stars in the United States. She had appeared on Cardi B’s “WAP,” which competed with BTS’s first English-language song “Dynamite” for the No. 1 position on the Hot 100 chart last year.
Just earlier on Tuesday, a local court had ruled in favour of the rapper for releasing the remix. Megan had filed an emergency temporary restraining order against her record label alleging that it was blocking her from releasing the song.
