Han Joo Won (Yeo Jin Goo) plays the role of a police officer who gets transferred to a small town from the big city of Seoul. He is on a quest to uncover an unresolved case from 20 years ago and he suspects none other than his comrade Lee Dong Sik (Shin Ha Kyun). What sets it apart from the usual serial killer theme would be its small-town setting, supporting cast and of course the fascinating story itself.
‘Vincenzo’ has it all – Action, comedy, badass villains, unbeatable squad and of course Song Joong-ki! It is a thriller that takes us along the ride with a Korean-Italian Lawyer, Vincenzo Cassano who ends up becoming a core member in a battle against corrupt companies.

It seems to be Song Kang’s year with Love Alarm 2, Navillera and ongoing JTBC drama Nevertheless. ‘Navillera’ is a webtoon based K Drama, which shows us a unique friendship between our two main characters and their love for the fascinating art form of Ballet;
Deok-chul (Park In-hwan) who wishes to chase his once unfulfilled dream to learn ballet and Lee Chae-rok (Song Kang) a 23-year-old ballet dancer. Navillera will teach you that it is never too late to pursue your dreams or simply start something new and age is just a number.
In ‘Law School’ we get to witness cases that are similar to real-life crime and shortcomings of Korea’s legal system. The story revolves around Han Joon Hwi (Kim Bum) a top first-year law student, Kang Sol (Ryu Hye Young) another student who comes from multiple hardships and Yang Jong-hoon (Kim Myung Min) a former prosecutor turned professor of criminal law. He ends up being a prime suspect for murder of his senior professor Seo Byung-ju (Ahn Nae-sang) who is also involved with our main protagonists, thus entangling their paths.
The series has topped the Netflix worldwide ranking list and rightfully so, with the gripping plot filled with twists and turns. The drama doesn’t focus on the romance between our main characters, but it is highly recommended for audiences that enjoy mystery/thriller genres.
‘Taxi Driver’ introduces us to taxi service like never before. They help the victims who have been wronged and seek revenge. Kim Do Gi (Lee Je Hoon) is part of this Rainbow Taxi Company and a vigilante fighting on behalf of the oppressed, alongside his support crew including Go Eun (Lee Na-Eun), an IT specialist. You will find the drama quite healing as justice is served to the victims who are finally free and at peace. Rumor has it there is a high possibility for season 2.
If you wish to steer clear from thrillers and just enjoy some lighthearted high school tropes; we highly recommend ‘True Beauty’ starring Astro’s Cha Eunwoo, Moon Ga-Young and Hwang In-youp. It is a hilarious teen drama, which also tackles the society’s pressure for unattainable beauty standards.
If you need a little more spice in this mix, then watch the recent ‘My Roommate is a Gumiho’ starring Jang Ki-Yong and Lee Hye-Ri. The characters are relatable with the addition of the supernatural element that we all love a little too much.
