The song is a question of Yes or No? Whether their lover would like to live with them. They ponder over the question and anxiously wait for the reply meanwhile acting nonchalant around them saying “I don’t care”.

Whether you like me or not

Just decide now do or not

So what? I don’t care

Live with me or not

Do whatever you want, do or not

So what? I don’t care
